Joel Posluns Shihan

Joel Posluns Shihan 7th dan is a shihan with the United States Aikido Federation and chief instructor of North Vancouver Aikikai. He started aikido in 1973 and trained extensively under Kanai Shihan and Yamada Shihan. He founded San Francisco Aikikai in 1992 before relocating to Vancouver in 2003. Posluns Shihan has been instrumental in preserving Kanai Shihan’s techniques with an extensive online video library and he continues to explore Kanai Shihan’s legacy.

We will be hosting a light dinner on Saturday Night at Protocol (2 Colombo Street). Cost is $25 per person, which includes a tap beer, house wine or soft drink with finger food for all.Please select the number of people attending when making your seminar registration.

Please bring your weapons (both bokken and jo). This seminar will include some weapons classes, and we will only have a very limited supply of spare weapons available.
